Do you Perform Plastic or Cosmetic Surgery?
I don't offer plastic or cosmetic surgery in my practice at this time. Most of the time
when people ask (mostly women) they are wondering about breast augmentation,
or breast reduction surgery.

Do you perform Bariatric (Gastric Bypass) Surgery?
No, I don't offer gastric bypass surgery in my practice. If you are considering gastric
bypass surgery or lap band surgery, please take your time in not only finding a
qualified surgeon, but also the nutrition and other support professionals as well.

Do I need a referral to see the surgeon?
Most of the time the answer is yes but the answer is case by case. Check your
insurance card or policy. Often if you don't need a referral to see a physician or
specialist your insurance card will state that clearly on the front of the card. Call your
insurance company if you are not sure. If you need a referral, just ask your primary
care physician or family doctor to call or fax a referral request to the office and we
will be happy to make an appointment for you.

What if I don’t see my insurance listed?
Check with your insurance company to see if they have "in-network" providers. Many
new HMO's that supplement Medicare for example don't require physicians to be "in-
network". You can also call the office to check the latest status.

What if I don’t have insurance?
We work with our patients when it comes to payment and scheduling the surgery.
Your biggest bill will not come from Premier Surgical Group or Dr. WeirCox. That big
bite will come from the hospital. You will also be responsible for the Anesthesiologist
and Pathologist bills. WE HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH those three. We tell all our
patients insured and uninsured alike that little tidbit that makes a big difference.

If you need time to marshall your funds for your surgeon's fee we understand and
will accommodate your needs.

Do you have a payment plan?
No. We have had to discontinue payment plans.

How long will it take for me to recover and get back to work?
Each surgery and patient are obviously different. A lot of it depends on what type of
work you have. If you have gallbladder or hernia repair surgery and are a desk
jockey, then probably 2 weeks to get back to work
WITH RESTRICTIONS. If
however you are a brick layer, 4 weeks minimum.
